[CAMES logo] Instruction for Authors

Submission of manuscripts. Submission of a manuscript for publication in CAMES implies that the paper is original and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere; that permission for publication, if needed, has been granted by appropriate sources; and that the first author ensures that other authors have approved the paper for publication. Manuscripts (in four copies) should be sent either to a Managing Editor in the author(s) respective country or residence, or to the Editorial Office. All further correspondence, proofs, and offprints will be sent to the first author, unless indicated otherwise by the authors.
Before the paper is published, the authors will have to transfer their copyright to the Publisher by signing the Copyright Transfer Form and sending it to the Editorial Office, either with the submitted manuscript, or with the page proofs upon acceptance of the paper. The form is available from this site.

Style of manuscript. The language of the journal is English. The text should be typewritten or printed on a computer printer on white paper of A4-size (210 × 297 mm), with large enough spacing and margins. The text should be divided into numbered and titled sections and, if needed, subsections and sub-subsections. All mathematical symbols and formulas should also be typewritten or printed; if it is not possible they should be clearly hand-written and, if necessary, identified in the margin. SI units are mandatory.

Mathematical formulas referred to in the text must be consecutively numbered, with Arabic numerals in parentheses ( ); numbering of other formulas is not obligatory though advisable. Publications cited in the paper should be referred to in the text by Arabic numerals in brackets [ ] and listed at the end of the manuscript in alphabetical order. Each item should contain full bibliographical data in the following format:

[1]
I. Author, I.I. Author. Title of the Book. Publisher, Place of Publication, 1985.
[2]
I. Author, I.I. Author, I.I.I. Author. Title of the paper. Title of the Journal, 47: 984-996, 1987.
[3]
I. Author, Title of the paper in a collection. In: I. Editor, I.I. Editor, eds., Title of the Collection, 151-177. Publisher, Place of Publication, 1991.
In exceptional cases (bibliographies, surveys, etc.), another format of the publication references may be accepted after prior approval by the Editor.

Title page. The title page should contain the title, authors' affiliations and abstract. The title should be as brief as possible. If its length exceeds 50 characters, a shortened running head should be proposed. The authors' affiliations should contain full names and addresses of all the authors, possibly with an indication to whom all further correspondence, proofs and offprints should be sent (if other than the first author). The abstract should be at most 150 words long.

Figures and tables. Tables and camera-ready black-and-white figures should be enclosed on separate sheets; a separate sheet should contain a list of figure and table captions. The provided figures should be original drawings or printouts (no photocopies); glossy photographs of very good contrast are also acceptable. Exceptionally, colour figures or photographs will be accepted, provided the colour is essential for the exposition.

Sending computer files. Upon acceptance of the paper, authors preparing their manuscripts with word processors, DTP programs and computer graphic editors are encouraged to provide also computer files containing the text and (separately) figures, on a diskette in MS-DOS format, or by e-mail. The TeX standard or its extensions (e.g., LaTeX) are preferable. Figures may be sent as bitmap files (with at least 300dpi resolution, preferably in one of the PCX, BMP, GIF, or TIFF formats), or as object (vector) files (preferably in one of the PostScript, HPGL/HP-plotter, CDR, or WMF formats). Figures coded as bitmap files should be in their final size to avoid reduction with associated loss of quality. Sending the electronic form of the manuscript will facilitate the speed of publication and printing quality of the paper. The files should be sent to the Editorial Office.

Offprints. Twenty five offprints of the published paper will be provided free of charge.

LaTeX template file

LaTeX users are encouraged to make use of the file cames0.sty. It contains a number of definitions that can be helpful in making the manuscript best fit requirements of the Editorial Office as well as the final page layout of the Journal. To employ the definitions, please, download the file and write the following declarations in your source file:
- in LaTeX 2.09:

\documentstyle[11pt,cames0]{article}
\begin{document}\sloppy
% the text of the paper in LaTeX
\end{document}

- in LaTeX 2e:

\documentclass[11pt,a4paper]{article}
\usepackage{cames0}
\begin{document}\sloppy
% the text of the paper in LaTeX
\end{document}

Please, note that the definitions provided with cames0.sty do not allow to form the Journal's specific title page layout or running page headers, but these features are not important at the stage of manuscript pereparation.
